The style

Look through, not at.

Drag this pane across the noise. Glassmorphism is what happens when chaos passes through frosted light.

Scene 02 · The pull

Why does depth calm you?

Bring your cursor. The window answers.

Why does looking through glass feel calm?

Because depth is honest. Move the light — the closer it passes, the more this pane wakes. Hierarchy you can feel, not read.

Scene 03 · The journey

Twenty years of frosted light.

Six eras, one rail. Click one — the room re-lights.

Nov 2020Michal Malewicz coins “glassmorphism” — the hashtag explodes within weeks.

Scene 04 · The people

One word lit the fuse.

Warsaw · November 2020

It’s lockdown. You’re a UI designer, and “that frosted-glass thing” still has no name.

Michal Malewicz writes the article that names it: glassmorphism. Apple had built the physics — iOS 7’s live blur, Big Sur’s translucent everything — but the word is the spark. Within weeks the hashtag floods Behance and Dribbble.

“Name a thing, and suddenly everyone can build it.” — by 2025, even Apple speaks Liquid Glass.

Scene 05 · The DNA

Four sliders. The whole secret.

This is the entire recipe — tune it, break it, copy it.

Tune me until I feel like glass.

Every slider is one layer of the recipe.

BLUR20px

16–24px reads as glass; more melts, less smudges.

FILL12%

White 8–18%. Higher washes out the light below.

EDGE1.0px

The 1px catch-light sells the pane’s rim.

LIFT24px

A long soft shadow floats it off the field.

AA guard: text still clears 4.5:1
Scene 07 · The verdict

Glass is hierarchy made physical — what matters floats closer and glows. Build with light, and keep the text sharp.
